A. Increasing productivity
of Anbar rice variety and preserving its continuity and genetic
purity as an Iraqi national variety characterized by being able to
be planted only in Iraq;
B. Overcoming the problem
of soil salinity in the southern territories of Iraq by developing
salinity-tolerant varieties of rice; and
C. Giving special consideration to post-harvesting operations.
